Recovery massage for regular client Abby today.

Abby is a PT and has also increased her running workload recently.

Together with gym, boxing and pole dancing she is extremely active.

Abby presented with soreness and tightness across her hamstrings, glutes, and quads.

Thought a combination of deep effleurage, trigger point therapy (TPT) and soft tissue release (STR). I was able to release her knots, increase range of motion and generally flush the muscles out to return her to a state of readiness.

Her piriformis on both sides was tight so I was able to STR these at the same time.

Deep tissue work around the rhomboids for my client who is a competing power athlete.

Coupled with work around the lumbar spine area, upper traps and glutes/piriformis.

Client is in off season so is in a stage of explosive gym work and throwing drills.

Recovery massages fortnightly mixing up body parts with focus on removal of knots, stripping the muscle and assisting with delayed onset muscle soreness. (DOMS).
